Kingshot Hero Tier List

Every legendary hero from Gen 1 to Gen 7, ranked by generation and troop class — so your rare shards always land on heroes that will still matter next month.

Updated Aug 22, 2026 · Gen 7 era · 34 heroes tracked

S Tier — Current Generation (Gen 7)

The newest generation always defines the meta. If your kingdom has unlocked Gen 7, these three are where every rare shard goes.

HeroClassVerdict
Ava Cavalry Core cavalry carry — max stars before anything else
Charles Infantry Your frontline anchor for rallies and garrison
Wee & Woo Archer Ranged damage core — pairs with both other picks

A Tier — Previous Generation (Gen 6)

Still strong if your kingdom hasn't reached Gen 7. Once it does, stop investing here unless you're missing an entire troop class.

HeroClassVerdict
Sophia Cavalry Great until Ava arrives — then freeze shards
Triton Infantry Reliable tank; replaced by Charles at Gen 7
Yang Archer Strong ranged option on younger kingdoms

B Tier — Two Generations Back (Gen 5)

Fill-in heroes only. Build them when they're your only legendary option for that class — never ahead of a newer generation.

HeroClassVerdict
Thrud Cavalry Fine early, outclassed fast
Vivian Archer Stop investing once Yang or Wee & Woo exist
Long Fei Infantry Transitional frontline only

C Tier — Legacy Roster (Gen 1–4)

Veterans of the early game. Keep them as bench depth for events that require multiple marches, but don't sink fresh shards into them.

Helga, Legendary Infantry (Gen 1) Saul, Legendary Archer (Gen 1) Jabel, Legendary Cavalry (Gen 1) Amadeus, Legendary Infantry (Gen 1) Hilde, Legendary Cavalry (Gen 2) Marlin, Legendary Archer (Gen 2) Zoe, Legendary Infantry (Gen 2) Eric, Legendary Infantry (Gen 3) Jaeger, Legendary Archer (Gen 3) Petra, Legendary Cavalry (Gen 3) Alcar, Legendary Infantry (Gen 4) Rosa, Legendary Archer (Gen 4) Margot, Legendary Cavalry (Gen 4)

Epic & Rare Heroes — When to Bother

Epics like Chenko, Fahd, Diana, Gordon, Howard, Quinn, Yeonwoo, and Amane carry you through the first weeks of a kingdom. Push them just far enough to clear progression content, then redirect everything into legendaries. Rares (Edwin, Forrest, Olive, Seth) are march-fillers for multi-army events — leave them at functional levels.

How This Tier List Works

Kingshot releases a new hero generation roughly every two months, and each new generation's stat growth outclasses the last. That single fact drives this entire list: tier equals recency, adjusted by whether you actually need that troop class.

Rule of thumb: never start a new hero below the top tier of your kingdom's current generation unless it fills a class you're missing entirely.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who are the best heroes in Kingshot right now?

In the Generation 7 era, the strongest investments are Ava (Cavalry), Charles (Infantry), and Wee & Woo (Archer). The newest generation always holds the top tier because its stat growth outpaces earlier generations.

Should I still invest in Generation 5 or 6 heroes?

Only if you lack that troop class entirely. Otherwise hold your rare shards for the newest generation — replacements arrive regularly, and half-built old heroes lose value fast.
